Hello,My name is Mike Rouse I am 39 yrs.old and live in Mayfield,Ky.I work for Ingram Barge Co.aboard the towboat M/V Mark E.Stevens.I have been on the river since 1980 as deckhand,leadman,mate,pilot and now Rel.Captain.Here are a few pictures I have taken on the Cumberland River and i hope you enjoy them!

This is downbound at Dover,Tn.with a fifteen barge empty tow.these barges are going to Paducah,Ky mile 927 on the Ohio River to load sand.And to Caseyville,Ky mile 842 Ohio River to load coal.

Island along the way!

This is Harpeth Isl.mile 158 Cumberland River,This is one of the many islands along the route from Paducah to Gallatin, Tn.We are pushing a 12 barge loaded tow of sand and coal.The sand will be dropped off at Nashville,Tn.Where it will be used in the construction of bricks,and used in blacktop materials to build roads and mixed with other materials to make concrete.The coal is transported on to Gallatin,Tn.to be converted to electricity by burning it at a T.V.A,facility.
